Come join Sarah Larsen, award-winning fiddler and educator, as she guides audiences through the life and recorded legacy of Kenny Baker. Highly regarded as the “Godfather of Bluegrass Fiddle,” Baker’s enduring career influenced generations of musicians and helped shape the sound of bluegrass music.

Tracing his early career through his tenure with Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys and beyond, Larsen will demonstrate Baker’s elegant long-bow style while highlighting some of his signature tunes and recordings.

2026 marks both Kenny Baker’s 100th birthday and the 50th anniversary of the seminal album Kenny Baker Plays Bill Monroe. To celebrate these milestones, Larsen will perform the album in its entirety. She is joined by Jim Pankey (banjo), Ryan Rogers (mandolin), Cory Chubb (guitar), and Rob Parks (bass) for this special tribute to one of bluegrass music’s most influential artists.
