Come join Sarah Larsen, an award winning fiddler and educator, as she guides audiences through the life and recorded legacy of Kenny Baker. Highly regarded as the “Godfather of Bluegrass Fiddle”, Baker’s enduring career has influenced legions of fiddle players and delighted bluegrass fans for generations.
Tracing his early career through his tenure with Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys and beyond, she will demonstrate Baker’s elegant “long-bow” style while highlighting some of his signature tunes.
2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the seminal album “Kenny Baker Plays Bill Monroe”. Ms. Larsen will perform the album in its entirety. She is joined by Jim Pankey (banjo), Ryan Rogers (mandolin), Cory Chubb (guitar), and Rob Parks (bass).
